Oasis Communities operates under the Manufactured Homes Estate (MHE) model. This means that the purchaser owns the home, and enters into a Residential Site Agreement for the site which it’s located on. Residents hold a long-term lease.
Residents within Oasis Communities are NOT required to pay ‘exit fees’ in the form of deferred management fees (DMF). There are no refurbishment costs and residents receive ALL capital gains upon selling their home. Retirement Villages typically require residents to be over the age of 55, Oasis Redhead is designed as an over 50’s community.
No, purchasers at Oasis Communities do not pay stamp duty.
Yes, Oasis Communities residents pay a weekly site rental fee (per household) which covers all aspects required to maintain the quality management and maintenance of the community. Residents of Oasis Communities are responsible for building and contents insurance for their individual home. They are also responsible for utilities, which are individually metered, billed and supplied direct by the relevant supplier.
Residents are responsible for all internal and external home maintenance required beyond the normal defects period.
The homes at Oasis Redhead are constructed ‘in-situ,’ using a concrete slab on ground, with timber treated frames and other traditional building materials including Colorbond roofing. All homes have high quality finishes, fixtures and fittings.
The homes at Oasis Lake Munmorah are constructed off-site at the construction teams warehouse. They are transported and assembled on-site at Oasis Lake Munmorah.
Yes, maintaining the individual look and feel of your home is very important. With this in mind, we have carefully selected 4 different colour schemes for you to choose from. (This option is only available for off the plan sales)
Any proposed alternations will be assessed on a case by case basis and are subject to written approval by the operator.
Yes. You’re welcome to have family and friends stay with you for up to 3 months at a time and they are welcome to use the community facilities whilst in the residents company.
Yes, Oasis Communities is a pet friendly community, which means one (1) small pet is permitted to be kept per home. Applications are to be made with the Operator for approval. Permission in writing must be obtained from the Operator before any pet can be allowed to live in the Community.
No, Oasis Communities doesn’t have RV facilities, this will need to be arranged with an external storage supplier. Please contact our friendly staff for a list of local options.
Residents are free to list their home with a real estate agent of their choice, or conduct a private sale, similar to the sale of any other private residence. Alternatively, the Oasis Redhead team can sell your home on your behalf.
